Today:
-we practiced our "near double" strategy in math morning message.
-we had 2 Daily 5's. In one, we worked on our Comic strip.
-we read "Katy No-Pocket". We had to work through some problems. We had to figure out how many pockets there were in our classroom. Many of us learned that it is hard to be accurate when you are adding a whole bunch of numbers. Mrs. Byciuk showed us how we can use the "making 10" strategy to add numbers quickly and accurately.
-we tested our first prototypes outside at the top of the slide. Ask me how it went. We came back inside and made improvements to our parachutes.
