Dear Families,
We started our day off with Morning meeting. We then had time to finish up our Social Studies writing about our favourite Calgary attraction, and a literacy choice if there was time. Ask me what attraction I was writing about, and why I chose it.
In Math today we worked with 3D Shapes. There were two different learning tasks. In the first tasks the students needed to create 3D shapes with marshmallows and toothpicks. The second learning choice was to work with a partner to create a tall tower. Once the students created the tower with their they had to record information about the tower and compare their tower to another group's tower. Ask me which task I worked on today. Tomorrow we will switch jobs.
Mrs. Caravan's class had music, Ask me what we did in music today.
Mrs. Predika's class talked about working together with a partner and encouraging each other's ideas. After our group discussion we had time to see what Stuart was getting up to , as we read Stuart Little. Ask me what was happening in the book. What kind of a character is Stuart? How can you describe him?
After lunch,
Mrs. Caravan's class had buddies, and Mrs. Predika's class had time to complete their visual journal pages about living and non living things. Ask me what I know about living and non living things.
We ended our day with gym.
We have library time tomorrow.
