Good afternoon families,
Today we began our day with our morning math problem. What was today's number of the day?
Next we wrote about our weekends. We tried to add lots of juicy words and details. Ask me how many sentences I wrote.
Next we had one round of daily 5. Ask me what centers I was at today.
After recess we had gym outside (before it was too hot!). Ask me what we did in gym today.
Then we had snack and read the Land of Stories. Ask me what is happening in the story right now.
Next we had math and finished working on finding our measurements with our partner. Ask me what the difference between our heights were. Who was taller? What did we use to measure?
After lunch we read part of the story called "A Butterfly is Patient". Ask me what this story is about. What did I learn? Did I like the way this non-fiction story was written?
Then we spent the rest of the day sketching the insect we chose to research. Ask me what insect I chose. Ask me if I finished my sketch and coloured it.
Have a fantastic evening everyone.
Love,
the grade 2s
