We are in need of a few more 1 litre milk cartons. Thursday is the last day of school before spring break.
Today:
-in math message, we made our own number lines and found the difference between 2 numbers.
-we had a whole bunch of Ketchup time because we didn't have enough time to finish things on Friday.
-we had gym with Mrs. Byciuk or Miss McNabb. Ask me what I did.
-we read a book called Katy No Pocket. We talked about pockets and the problem that we will start tomorrow. We will find the total number of pockets in the class.
-we had Social Studies. Mrs. Byciuk's class talked about pioneer toys. Pioneers used to make toys out of things that were available to them. Mrs. Byciuk's class made corn husk dolls. They did great. They also looked at some artifacts from pioneer times. They talked about what they are and began to sketch them and write facts, wonders and labels.
Ms. Keir's group did a guided drawing of a parka. They learned how to use pointillism (a type of art technique made from dots). They also read a story about Inuit clothing.
