Ms. Keir's class has inline skating on Monday morning. Mrs. Byciuk's last inline skating class isn't until November 19.
We will be starting a project next week and will need the following materials (the cutting of the material does not have to be perfect):
- cotton balls
- rags (different material cut into hand size squares if possible)
- drinking straws
- tin foil (cut into hand size squares)
- popsicle sticks
- wax paper (cut into hand size squares)
- elastic bands
- foam and/or packing peanuts
- nylon stockings
- masking tape
- q-tips
- box of plastic gloves
- blue food colouring
- bird feathers (not the coloured ones - they won't work for the experiment)
- vegetable oil
-cardboard pieces
-egg cartons
-pipe cleaners
Today:
-we had music with Mrs. Henderson.
-our wonder of the day was "What is a surveyor?" Ask me what it is.
-we wrote the conclusion for our flower experiment. Ask me what happened and why it happened. It was really cool!
-we worked on a place value creative journal page. We matched pictures of numbers (base 10 blocks) with their number. For example, if we see 2 rods and 2 units, the number is 22.
-we were given a new problem that we had to solve independently. We had to find 2 numbers that add up to 18. There are many different ways to make 18. Ask me how many ways I found.
-Mrs. Byciuk's class had their 3rd class of inline skating while Ms. Keir's class played a Place Value game.
