Kindergarten, Grade 1 and Grade 2 WINTER MUSICAL
“Hosts, Jack and Jackie Frost have just finished renovating Winter’s Wonderland, a North Country resort. Their staff is busily getting everything ready for the grand reopening. Guests start to arrive, but sadly there’s just NO SNOW!”
What will they do for their winter holiday if Old Man Winter doesn’t show up to bring the snow?
*Costume:
Students may dress as they wish. Their characters are arriving at a hotel for a grand opening party.
PERFORMANCES
To accommodate all of our audience guests this year, we will be splitting the classes and performing on 2 separate show days. Your child/children will only be responsible for 1 night and 1 day performance. The show days/times and classes performing are found in the below chart.
**If you have 2 children on 2 different show days, please email Mrs. Henderson-McDade as soon as possible and I will arrange for both children to be on the same night. ([email protected]). As a general rule, I will ask your youngest child to perform on the day / night noted for their older sibling. Please still email me the conflict, as I do want to make sure I am not losing a large portion of young kindergarten students on the same performance day.
Performance Dates and Times:
Wednesday December 16th 1:30 pm AND 6:30 pm
Thursday December 17th 10:00 am AND 6:30 pm

Actors should memorize their lines as soon as possible. New scholastic book orders coming home.
Today:
-we read a similes book. We were given a challenge. We had to make similes comparing people to food. It was hard! Ask me about the similes I wrote.
-we used our number lines to solve problems altogether as a class. After that we had to move to different tables in the classroom and make number sentences to go with the problems. For example, "Put your counter on the number that is 4 more than 7." The number sentence that goes with that problem is 7+4=11. This was good practice to use a number line in order to solve a problem and to practice 1 more, 2 more, 1 less, 2 less.
-we silent read.
-we had reading groups. Ask me what we did.
-we had music and gym.
