Dear Families,
We had a different start to our day. We began with music and then worked on a math problem about bird feet. Can I show you the strategy I used to solve this problem?
Here is the problem:
1. Sam has taken up bird watching. Since he loves to count toes he has decided to count bird toes. If the birds have 3 toes on each foot, how many birds will he need to count 12 toes?
Challenge Questions:
2. What if he wanted to count 30 toes? How many birds would he need?
3. How many birds will it take to count 60 toes?
When we were finished we continued to work on making shapes using the geo boards and challenging ourselves to make shapes out of different shapes. Can I draw and show you what I did at home? We then had gym outside and worked on our soccer skills.
After lunch we read our books. What books did I read today?
