Hello families! Our day began by reading The Land of Stories and talking about our animal wonders. What happened in our novel today? What were some of the wonders that we discovered and answered? Then we had literacy centres. What centres did you go to today? After recess and snack we had music, gym, and math. In math we practiced our addition and subtraction skills by playing different math games. Could you show your family how to play these at home? What did we do in music and gym today?
This afternoon we had science and explored animals. We continued to draw pictures of different animals and write facts about them. Tomorrow we will be sorting them by similar characteristics and classifications. What animals did you write facts about today? At the end of the day we had more ketchup time as we have a lot to get caught up on. Did you get any free time today? It was a great Tuesday, we will see you tomorrow!
Love: The Grade Ones
Reminders:
- Please see below regarding our walk for ALS and our animal wonders.
Tuesday Wonders of the Day
1. Why do bees make honey?
2. Why do birds fly?
3. Why do elephants have such long trunks?
4. How do fish breathe under water?
5. Why do deer have antlers?
