Hello everyone! Our day began by answering our animal wonder questions and reading The Land of Stories. What did you learn about animals today? What do we think we now know about Alex in our story? After recess and snack we had science. We watched a Brain Pop Jr. video about classifying animals, and then, as a class, we sorted our animals by the different classifications (e.g. fish, birds, amphibians, mammals, etc). What are the different types of classifications?
At the end of the morning we had music and math. During math we started talking about shapes and geometry! We went for a shape hunt in our classroom. What different shapes did you find? What are 2D shapes? Then we watched a Brain Pop Jr. video about 2D shapes, and did a Smart Board activity to go with it. Can you find 2D shapes at home?
This afternoon we had our Walk for ALS. We began by meeting outside and were introduced to Lisa who was joining us from the ALS Society. After this, we performed our "Fight Song" dance and then got started on our walk! What an amazing way for us to support such an important cause! Ask me all about our afternoon! It was a fantastic day, we will see you tomorrow!
