Today:
-Ms. Keir was away and we had a guest teacher.
-we started a new math message. We added numbers that contain a 0 in the ones spot. For example 80+80. We learned that we can think of these numbers as single digits and add a 0. 8+8=16 and then add a 0= 160.
-we started a new part of our Tuesday story. The toads are sure being mischievous.
-we had gym with Mrs. Byciuk or the guest teacher.
-Mrs. Byciuk's group had some more practice with the expanded form strategy for double digit subtraction. Ms. Keir's group worked on a whole bunch of challenge questions with the strategy that works best for them.
-we had "talk time" and silent reading.
-we had Social Studies. Ms. Keir's group finished their advertisements and started to learn about Pioneer Homes. Mrs. Byciuk's group continued to learn about the Acadians.
