Thank you to all our wonderful students and their families. This year has been amazing and makes us even more excited for next year! Thank you for all your volunteer hours, the beautiful cards and presents. Thank you for reading with your child and letting us spend everyday with them. HIGHLIGHTS:
-Mrs. Leonard's class worked on our cards for our buddies, ask me what I wrote -Today we had our practice evacuation walk, ask me where our muster (meeting) spot is -Ms. Goodwin's class worked on mapping our classroom for next year, ask me what ideas I had -We did some math problems with shapes, ask me what problems we had to solve REMINDERS: -June 25th is our Fairy tale Ball, please dress up as your favourite fairy tale character -June 26th is our Mudless Mudder, please dress for the weather. If you are volunteering, please meet in Ms. Goodwin's room at 8:00am -June 26th is the last day of grade one! HOMEWORK: -Raz kids HIGHLIGHTS:
-Mrs. Leonard's class did an experiment with our sense of taste, ask me what we liked best -We worked on writing this morning, ask me what I wrote about -Ms. Goodwin's class worked on our shape problems, ask me what trick Ms. Goodwin played on us -Ms. Goodwin's class worked on an art project, ask me what it was -Today in gym we got a chance to practice some obstacles to get ready for the Evergreen Mudder, ask me what obstacles we tried. REMINDERS: -Tomorrow is our practice evacuation walk at 1:30pm, if you can volunteer, please email your child's teacher (please wear comfy shoes, its about a 30min walk) -Please return all Home Reading Books and Library Books tomorrow -June 25th is our fairy tale ball -June 26th is our Evergreen Mudder, please email your child's teacher if you can volunteer HOMEWORK: -Raz Kids (you will be able to access this all summer) Highlights:
We worked on our Father's Day present...ssshhhhh..it's a secret until Sunday! Mrs Goodwin's class had a Razzle Dazzle child today! It was Kyle's special day! Ask me what I wrote. We watched a Kindergarten assembly. We were on the news!!! We watched out news footage :) Reminders: Next Thursday is our Fairy Tale Ball. We need volunteers for the Evergreen Mudder Day please :) Email your teacher if you can join us. Question of the Day: Ask me what my favorite part of the assembly was. -We worked on building our fairy tale community today and we painted them! Ask me what mine looks like -We started "Writing Wednesday" and chose one of five things to write about, ask me what I chose -Today in gym we played soccer bandits and pirates, ask me how to play -Ask me what I did during Daily 5 today -We worked on our Father's Day present....ha ha ha DON'T ask, its a secret! REMINDERS: -Duck Release Party tomorrow, please dress for the weather, the event is all outside. Pizza lunch will be provided. -Mrs. Leonard's class continued to work on constructing their fairy tale community, ask me what I built -We read the story "Duck! Rabbit!" After the story we had a debate as to whether or not the picture was a Duck or a Rabbit, ask me what I thought it was and why -We played kickball outside today, ask me how to play -Ms. Goodwin's class did an experiment using our 5 senses, ask me what we had to do for the experiment -We worked on our math today, ask me what questions we worked on REMINDERS: As the end of the year quickly approaches we have a few reminders and requests of you! 1. This Thursday, June 18th is the Duck Release Field Trip. Students will be fed a pizza lunch which is provided free of charge. If your child does not want pizza, please pack them another lunch. Volunteers please be at the school for 9:30am, the bus leaves at 9:45am. 2. The school is having a practice evacuation on Tuesday, June 23 @1:30pm. We need 2 more volunteers to walk with EACH class. Please email Ms. Goodwin if you are able to help out. 3. Thursday, June 25th is the Fairy Tale Ball! Students are to dress up as their favorite fairy tale character. We are asking for parents to provide snacks, i.e. fruit, treats(non messy), cheese and crackers. So far we just have veggies! Please email Ms. Goodwin with which snack you’d like to provide. (NUT FREE PLEASE). Please send the snacks in the morning and Ms. Goodwin will put them in the fridge if needed. 4. Friday, June 26th is our last day and Evergreen is having our very own Tough Mudder (minus the mud!). We are looking for volunteers to help with the set up, take down and operation of the obstacle course. You can volunteer anytime between 7:45-10:45am. Please email Ms. Goodwin if you are able to help out. Lastly, thank you to all the parent volunteers who have helped out this year! We will be building tomorrow too, so wear "construction" clothes -Mrs. Leonard's class had music today, ask me what Mrs. Henderson taught us -Ms. Goodwin's class played some math games today, ask me what we played -We had gym today, ask me what games we played -We wrote in our journals about our weekend, we used time markers to help us write in more detail -We did the "Sally Up" challenge, ask me what we have to do REMINDERS: -Duck Release Trip on Thursday. Rain or Shine, we are going. Volunteers can come to school by 9:30, bus leaves at 9:45.
